It’s hard to see how the proposed construction of 125 homes and a number of commercial business units close to Newton Ferrers won’t irreparably harm the landscape and scenic beauty of the AONB. The site sits exposed on high ground.
As a result it will be highly visible from large areas of Heritage Coast in the location and add considerably to the light pollution in the night sky. The need for the development is also highly questionable. Just three miles away as the crow flies or five miles by road 5,500 new homes are currently under construction at Sherford, with a further 1,500 planned post 2026.
