SHS MEMBER EVENTS PROGRAMME 2020

JANUARY
Saturday 11th January at 11am. Low tide is around noon. Beach clean at West Charleton, via Marsh Lane. Some parking at the local pub. Joint activity with Gary Joliffe and ‘Till the Coast is Clear’ who recycle the debris found. For further details, contact Penny Fenton (email: penny545@googlemail.com or tel: 01548 561539).

FEBRUARY
Saturday 29th February at 11am. Beach clean at Soar Mill Cove. For further details, contact Penny Fenton (see above).

MARCH
Saturday 7th March (morning). Dairy farm visit and briefing at Challon’s Combe, Aveton Gifford. Further details tbc by Elizabeth Bennett, e-mail: eeebee@southpool.co.uk.

APRIL
SHS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Late April, date TBC. Bird watching (migrating birds) at South Milton Ley with Nick Townsend. Further details soon.

MAY
Saturday 23rd May at 11am. Beach clean at South Milton beach. For further details, contact Penny Fenton (see above).
TBC – Farm visit

JUNE
Saturday 27th June at 3pm. Butterfly Walk at East Soar with Andrew Northrop.

JULY
Friday 3rd July, evening 9 – 11pm, when the moths come out! ‘An introduction to South Devon’s moths’ with East Allington lepidopterist, Mark Marshall. Further details to follow.

AUGUST
Saturday 8th August at 3pm. Beach clean at Soar Mill Cove. For further details, contact Penny Fenton (see above).

SEPTEMBER
Saturday 5th September. Kingsbridge Show. SHS to run a stand, volunteers welcome.

OCTOBER
Saturday 17th October at 11am. Beach clean at Soar Mill Cove, with optional lunch after at the Soar Mill café. For further details, contact Penny Fenton.

NOVEMBER

DECEMBER
Saturday 5th December at 11am. Beach clean at West Charleton – see January information re parking – with optional lunch at the pub after. For further details, contact Penny Fenton.
